Whitchurch Rugby Club was formed in 1936. By the 1980's Whitchurch established
themselves as the leading Shropshire Rugby Club; winning 9 from 11 county cups,
the first Shropshire club to secure the North Midlands Cup in 1997, again in
1999, and final Contact in May 2005.
